After staying with a child physiologist who he later kills he loses contact with his mother and isolates himself from everyone. He makes masks as a hobby which adds to the suspense and highlights the physiological issues the boy has. He goes back to his abandoned family home where he discovers the mask he wore the night he killed his sister and her boyfriend and finds a knife in the kitchen.
