Throughout history, the order of the credits have stayed the same, the distribution company or main studio baker comes first since this will most likely be an independent distributor that did not finance the film it will appear on its own. It usually begins as 'Distribution Company Presents,' followed by the name of the production company. The production company will most likely be established by the people involved and can range from just being a name you apply to yourself to a full-fledged production house. This will appear as 'A Production Company Name Production'. The directors credit tends to come right after this labelling it as 'A Directors Name Film'.
