When making our OTS we decided to aim it at a target audience of 15-25 year olds. We discovered from our research that because horror films are usually rated at a 15 they are more commonly watched among younger generations. We aimed our film at our target audience by using younger actors who the audience would be able to relate to. This also links with the idea of being stalked online as teenagers are becoming increasingly vulnerable when it comes to social media.
We interviewed our target audience (15-25 year olds) and asked them questions regarding our horror OTS and the horror genre as a whole:
Questions we asked:
What did you think of our OTS?
What could we improve on?
What did you like the most?
Do you like horror films?
What is your favourite horror film?

We decided to set our range rating at 15, this is so that we dont exclude a younger audience, however, we dont want to exclude a older audience. We found out through our interviews that our OTS is suitable for a younger audience, as our OTS showed minimal blood which is suitable for young viewers. Overall our interviewees found it entertaining and that our age rating is acceptable and appropriate for our target audience.
Our OTS had various parts which appealed to different parts of the audience members, such as the attacker using the perfume. Whist annotating our OTS, our male audience would appeal to our female character during close ups. Our female audience felt connected to our female character, they felt as if they could connect to the character and sense her vulnerability. In conclusion, each annotation helped us see how well we used the theorists' ideas and how our OTS conveyed the subgenre.
