There are three main types of opening title sequences, these include:
Linear- Linear is a straight forward story line which progresses in chronological order to create a basic narrative.
Non linear- Non linear is when the story line is not in sequential order, therefore the use of flashbacks adds to this effect on the narrative.
Symbolic- A symbolic OTS holds many references to future events which will occur in the film, keeping the audience guessing. But could also just have many symbolic objects which relate to horror as a whole.
