Here are out 10 horror shots:
When creating the idea of our top 10 horror shots we had to think rationally about how we was going to perform them and in what situation. Within our top 10 shots we included; over the shoulder shot to emphasis the conversation between the victim and the killer, a high angle to show the vulnerability of the victim, a close up of the killer to give the audience a hint of who they need to focus on throughout the film, we included an off kilter shot of the killer to show how it is different from the ordinary straight on shot which then enhances that something unexpected is going to happen, as the killer walked through the hallway, we took a close up shot on the weapon that will be used to end the victim's life to show to the audience that our victim will be in a lot of pain when coming face to face with this weapon, as the victim realises she is being watched we show a 360 degree shot to allow us to show the audience her surroundings as well as having a close up shot of fear to enhance the tension within the scene, as the killer captures the victim we shot a point of view from the killer to show their aggression within their actions and it allows us to see the victims expressions, we then introduce a reverse shot which switches to the victim's point of view but allowing a low angle to express power from the killer and finally, after the victim has been hit with the weapon, we do not see any blood as we allow the power of suggestion to create suspense for the audience thinking that the victim is dead.
