Our OTS represents people from different social groups, including females, males and teenagers as a whole. It's important to represent different social groups within media to allow the audience to relate to the characters.
For example, the killer in our OTS is represented as manly and dominant over Shannon, this then represents men in a traditional way as he's more powerful compared to the female. Therefore, females are represented as weaker and more vulnerable. To emphasise this, in our OTS we used a montage of Shannon passing out after being spiked by the killer, including flashbacks to her phone and the perfume bottle before hand. Also as our killer and victim are both teenagers we represented them as being modern-day teens who use technology in order to find and stalk people. This then allows our target audience to relate to the characters and their use of technology.
